QA Automation Engineer

Play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through a balanced approach of manual testing (50%) and test automation (50%). With a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, you will work closely with developers and manual QA team members to design, implement, and improve our testing processes. Tasks Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design and execute both manual and automated test cases. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts. Execute and analyze automated test suites, identifying defects and suggesting process improvements. Perform manual testing for complex scenarios or where automation is not feasible. Document and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports. Advocate for testing best practices and contribute to the improvement of QA processes. Assist in root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to debug and resolve issues. Support the transition from manual to automated testing by mentoring team members and promoting automation adoption. Requirements 4+ years in QA, including 2+ years in test automation Experience with automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cucumber) Familiar with MySQL/MariaDB and REST API testing Proficient in JavaScript or similar Solid understanding of SDLC and agile Hands-on with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines Experience using Jira, Xray, or similar tools Performance testing knowledge (JMeter, K6) is a plus Experience with or interest in using AI development assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex ect.
