SAP ERP Implementation Specialist - project based 9-12 months

The role is based in our Shared Service Center in Bucharest and it’s a fully remote type of work. SAP ERP Implementation Specialist - project based (temporary 9-12 months) - fluent in English and Spanish Role Purpose The SAP ERP Implementation Specialist supports the implementation, configuration, testing, and continuous improvement of SAP ERP solutions across the organization. The role acts as a bridge between business teams, IT, and external implementation partners, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into effective SAP processes and system solutions. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from key stakeholders. Map current business processes and design future-state processes aligned with SAP best practices. Support SAP ERP implementation activities across relevant functional areas such as Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, or HR. Work closely with SAP consultants, implementation partners, IT teams, and business users during system design and configuration. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system requirements. Identify process gaps and recommend process improvements or system solutions. Support master data preparation, cleansing, validation, and migration. Participate in system configuration reviews and validate that SAP solutions meet business requirements. Develop test scenarios and coordinate unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Document defects, follow up on their resolution, and perform retesting. Support data migration and reconciliation between legacy systems and SAP. Assist with system integration testing involving SAP and other business applications. Prepare process documentation, user guides, procedures, and training materials. Deliver or support training sessions for end users and key users. Support change management activities and user adoption during the ERP transformation. Assist with cutover planning and go-live preparation. Provide hypercare support following system implementation and help resolve functional issues. Monitor SAP processes after go-live and identify opportunities for optimization and automation. Ensure processes and system configurations comply with internal controls, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders and provide regular updates regarding implementation progress, risks, issues, and dependencies. Key Requirements Previous experience with SAP ERP implementation, migration, rollout, or system transformation projects. Good understanding of end-to-end business processes. Experience gathering and translating business requirements into system solutions. Knowledge of one or more SAP modules, depending on the business area, such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, or S/4HANA. Experience with process mapping, testing, UAT, data migration, and system documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external consultants. Strong project coordination and communication skills. Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting or data-analysis tools is an advantage.
