About The Role As a Software Engineer in Test in our Identity and Access Management team, you’ll help ensure that secure and seamless authentication experiences work reliably across Bolt’s ecosystem. You’ll build and maintain automated tests for our web portals, while working closely with mobile engineers to support quality across Bolt apps and the authentication SDK. This is a hands-on role for an engineer with strong automation QA skills who enjoys working close to the product. You’ll combine test automation with targeted manual and exploratory testing, helping the team identify issues early and deliver reliable experiences for our users. Main Tasks And Responsibilities Build, maintain, and improve automated end-to-end and integration test coverage for Identity and Access Management web portals. Create automated tests for new features and contribute to the ongoing reliability of existing test suites. Collaborate with mobile engineers to test authentication flows across Bolt apps and the authentication SDK. Carry out exploratory and manual testing when it is the best way to assess a feature or investigate a potential issue. Investigate defects, document findings clearly, and work with engineers and product partners to resolve them. Bring testing considerations into planning, implementation, and release discussions to support quality throughout the development lifecycle. About You You have professional experience in software testing and test automation, ideally in a Software Engineer in Test or similar role. You have experience testing web applications and APIs, including building and maintaining automated test suites. You are comfortable reading and writing code, and enjoy working closely with software engineers. You are interested in mobile testing and in collaborating with iOS and Android engineers on end-to-end user journeys. You have a structured, detail-oriented approach, strong curiosity, and practical problem-solving skills. You are comfortable using AI-assisted development tools, including “vibe coding” approaches, while maintaining high standards for code quality and test reliability.
