Role Overview - Objective Further develop and stabilize an existing C#/.NET backend application landscape through bug fixing, targeted refactoring, and the gradual introduction of automated testing. The objective is to improve robustness, maintainability, and code quality while minimizing the risk of impacting existing functionality. Analyze defects across interdependent standalone applications Work setup Full remote (within Romania) Collaboration type B2B or CIM contract (determined period contract - an assignment of 12 months) End customer: one of NTT Data's intercompany clients Full-time engagement Start date: ASAP Language: German & English (advanced) Key technologies Perform cross-application root cause analysis of software defects affecting interconnected applications Several years of experience in software development using C# and .NET Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy applications Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) Bug Fixing Analyze and resolve defects in existing applications Reproduce reported issues based on available information Communicate with end users to support issue analysis Document root causes and implemented solutions Ensure that bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effects Refactoring Identify critical maintainability issues Simplify complex methods and classes Reduce code duplication Improve the readability and understandability of the source code Introduce clear separation of responsibilities within classes Eliminate obvious anti-patterns Improving Robustness Enhance error handling and logging mechanisms.
